Greg Coté | CEO

Prior to co-founding Accelitas, Greg was a portfolio manager for J&W Seligman & Co., a New York firm managing $18 billion in public and venture capital technology funds. That’s where a prominent board member and entrepreneur asked him: “When are you going to get a real job? Anyone can manage someone else’s money.”

In 2004, Greg launched what would become Accelitas, combining extensive experience in tech and banking (PNC, Comerica Bank), with a lifelong obsession for problem solving. The new company was not afraid to ask questions; pinpointing populations that weren’t being served and pioneering predictive technologies that reimagine financial access for those who had been shut out. The company’s reputation for thinking fast on its feet can be traced to Greg’s favorite question: what’s your Plan B?

Greg contends that any leadership model he brings to Accelitas reflects his experience as an NCAA Division II hockey coach, where you learn to motivate, delegate, read and react on a playing surface that’s extremely hard and slippery.
